A film camera, smuggled into Romania by my grandfather during the restrictive days of communism, eventually found its way to me in my teens. That camera became my first window into storytelling, capturing the beauty of life in its simplest forms. My passion for photography was born in my own backyard, each click of the shutter preserving those small, fleeting moments—the weight of a toddler’s hug, the boundless joy of jumping on a trampoline under a sticky summer sun, or a mother cupping her child’s face, whispering words of love under the golden light of dusk.
